Elizabeth (Beth)

Born in Lompoc, CA, comes from a large family of creative and artistic members. Her family influenced her love of art (in all forms), decorating, and music. Her family moved to Charlotte, NC when she was four years old. After graduating from High School, she attended Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing (now part of Queens College in Charlotte). After graduating from nursing school, Beth quickly moved into nurse management where she spent, 30 plus years, mostly in hospitals. In her various rolls, she was responsible for building new programs, defining and executing operational procedures, quality metrics and budgeting. Most of her career was spent in critical care and cardiology. In addition to work, Beth has been active in Church, Girl Scouts and Cheerleading teams.

John

Born in Charlotte NC, is an only child from a family that has been part of the Charlotte area dating back to the early 1800s. His parents have been involved in local history and genealogical societies for decades explaining John’s love of history. John attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and graduated with a degree in Business Administration and a Master’s in Business Administration from Georgia State University in Atlanta. John spent over twenty-five years in the construction products industry in various sales, marketing, and senior management positions. In his various roles, he was responsible for sales, launching new products and services, and new market development. John spent over ten years in the North Carolina Army National Guard and Army Reserves attaining the rank of Captain. In addition to work, John has been active in Boy Scouts, Junior Rowing (Crew) team, and occasionally taught cooking classes. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the United Way of Coastal Carolina, and New Bern Historic Preservation Council
